[Q] Failing flash memory. Possible to repair?

My tab has been in a drawer for the last year because it won't boot. I can still get into recovery, but I can't flash anything successfully. Even when trying to adb push a .zip file to the device, the /sdcard/ directory unmounts itself within a minute or two. Sometimes on boot the /sdcard/ directory doesn't even exist and trying to mount it fails.
Is this something that can be fixed with some soldering skills? Anyone tried replacing the memory before?
