[Q] [P7510] Problems upgrading to anything from Honeycomb

Hey, first post, so hopefully I can supply enough information.

I have a Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wifi (P7510) that I've had for a while, and have always seemed to have a lot of problems with it. Basically, the only ROM that works is the stock Honeycomb, either rooted or unrooted. I want to get off of honeycomb, but so far every upgrade I've tried fails to work. I can always fall back to stock Honeycomb whenever things break, but all efforts to get beyond have failed.

I first tried to upgrade via Samsung Kies to the latest firmware they support - 4.0.4. This upgrade fails and send the tab into infinite reboot. I mailed it back to Samsung for repairs and they just loaded stock honeycomb on it and told me to deal with it.

Other things I've tried:
-Flashing the firmware (non-honeycomb) from Odin yields Status 7 invalid symlinks - even if I unmount and clear /system.
-Backing up any image (honeycomb and otherwise) from CWM or TW works, but any restore yields checksum errors and is invalid.
-Going from Honeycomb -> root -> CWM -> update.zip of CM9, CM10, or several other ROM's i've found online all seem to fail in similar ways - they boot up to various points, often getting through initial registration, then lock up and reboot after 10-15 seconds.
-With newer CWM recoveries (5.5.0.4 and newer) sometimes new rom's would fail claiming the properties file only worked with the P7510 (of which the device is). Older CWM (2.2ish) I believe these error's didn't appear, but the ROM's still do not work.

I'm not entirely sure why these things don't work - if anyone has any questions, or if they have any information, or threads I can reference, let me know! If stock Honeycomb didn't consistently work then I'd think there was a serious hardware problem, but it seems to work without issue.

Thanks
